If you’d like to experience ultimate freedom by learning to fly gliders and the performance of engineless flight by learning to fly gliders, try one of our introductory packages each of which can be upgraded to full club membership after your flights.
Gliding Experience £110
Two flights or up to 30 minutes flying time with an experienced pilot, take in the stunning views and experience engineless flight.
Each flight will be about 5-10 minutes but in the right weather conditions a single flight of up to 30 mins are possible

After your flights you will have one month’s introductory membership of the club, entitling you to further flights at club member’s rates. During this time, if you choose to take out full membership of the club you will be entitled to a discount of approx. £75 (adult rates, depends on flying time delivered)

Half Day Introduction £175
Four flights or up to 60 minutes flying time with an qualified instructor, take in the stunning views and experience engineless flight.
Each flight will be about 5-10 minutes but in the right weather conditions longer flights are possible

Important notes
1) There is an upper weight limit of 16st (103kg); if taller than 6’4″ (195cm) please call or email for advice. You’re also welcome to come up to the airfield and try one for size.
2) Throughout the summer months bookable slots may be fully booked 6 weeks ahead.
3) Our gliding gift vouchers are redeemable only at Rivar Hill airfield. Please read all of the information on this page before making a purchase.
4) Vouchers are sold for use by one person if you wish to share your voucher with a family member an additional fee may be payable.
5) When flying mobile phones must not be taken into the glider unless they can securely stored without the possibility of them dropping out of a pocket. Taking of photographs (‘phone or camera) is possible if the device can be secured by use of an attached wrist strap

Your voucher will normally be dispatched to you by post. Please contact us if you want to fly immediately after purchase.
Booking is highly recommended, but you are also welcome to just turn up at a weekend; we may able to provide a lesson at short notice. To book, please contact us
