Water Supply
General: Water is collected from the winch shelter and club house roofs on two 1 000 litre containers. Water is supplied from the top tank and lifted from the bottom tank by a submerged pump. The pump power supply switch is inside the workshop next to the fuse box. When switched on the pump is controlled automatically by level switches. Pump filter needs cleaning annually. There is an additional reservoir behind the toilet block with a submerged pump that needs to be connected by a power lead from the club house.
Frost protection routine: The main stop cock is at the base of the upper tank. There is a second stop valve in the blue supply pipe close to the workshop door. This second valve is left permanently closed during the winter. After closing the second valve the club house water supply should be drained via the cock under the sink and the toilet block drained after flushing both toilets using the cock under the gents' urinals.
Toilet pans should be protected from cracking with a handful of salt.
