Tow Out Gear

Fitting is quite straightforward but as the Puchacz is tail light it is vital that both securing pins are located and locked in place with the R clips. To make sure we do not lose these fittings they are chained to the tow out bar.

To fit the tow out gear:

1. Fit tail dolly using the locating marks on the fuselage for reference.
2. Attach the tow bar to the tail dolly using the 12mm bar and R clip.
3. Raise the tow hitch end and pass the remaining bar through the Puchacz tail wheel spindle and secure with the R clip.
4. Fit the wing dolly onto either tip as close to the tip as possible to avoid placing strain on the ailerons and secure with the bungee straps.
5. Finally attach the tow hitch to the tow out vehicle.

Note:

• There is ample adjustment for the tail spindle bolt but it is important that the tail dolly is aligned with the marks on the fuselage first.
• Only use this tow out gear if the wind speed is relatively low as I have not made a rudder lock yet and the rudder might move around too much otherwise.
• The tip dolly will fit a K13 but the bungee straps are a little to short and may get damaged.
