Sunday 14th May – 10am to 5pm
An opportunity to find out about taking to the air and harnessing the power of the elements and get a new perspective on the countryside. A sport that can be enjoyed at any time of life – our membership includes teenagers, those in their 80’s and those in between. Shalbourne gliding is a volunteer run community sports association (a CASC) with a dedicated team of qualified instructors there to train fellow members to solo and beyond.
On our Open Day you can take to the air for a short trial lesson; try you hand on a glider simulator; watch the gliders take-off and land; chat to our members to find out more about the sport we are passionate about.
